Alright, after surviving for almost a month in college life, here comes yet another interesting challenge/scenario for me. It's our university's annual RecWeek (the week where all the organizations AKA 'orgs' advertise themselves and recruit new members for their org). Now, everyone there says: "Join an org! It'll be fun!" and stuff like that. And I guess, I can't blame them since their mortal souls really crave for attention and sociability of others.
In the curious case of me, the anti-social in groups person, it probably is quite an expected move that I won't join any orgs at all, and yes, I can say that you guys are right. Orgs there have application fees (which means even if you hate the org, live up with it cause you paid for it OR quit and let them keep your money). It's a bit annoying since they practically combined the two things that I really dislike:
1. Spending money on things that I'm unsure of
2. Social groups
To be honest, I'm having second thoughts regarding joining my home org, WriterSkill, since everyone in my block is kinda hyped to it. But what really got me interested was this little independent org called Ateneo Capoeira Club. For the sake of those who don't know what Capoeira is, its the fighting style of Eddie Gordo in Tekken, and for those who still don't know it, its a fighting-style that resembles dancing a bit (just look it up in Wikipedia or something).
Oh well, guess that's that, I'll just post here how things work out. Hope everyone is having a better life out there compared to me.
