Designs with my Innovation...

Well, I have been interested in making designs of archaic runes, alchemical transmutation circles, and other cool ancient stuff, so like any other person out there that wants their dream realized, I innovated this simple yet effective (it's not 100% though)method of making these things without the use of a photoshop.

First of all, I'll have to show you my sample (click here), since it's on my DA page. Anyways, I'll share my discovery (I'm sure I'm not the 1st to think of this but I just wanted to share whatever I have discovered here). For a brief overview and a quick idea, I use MS Publisher, MS Powerpoint, and MS Paint.

MS Publisher is for the shape measurement or ,as what I like to call it, symmetry outlining; After that, transfer the outline that you have made to MS Powerpoint (make sure you save the one in Publisher also).

MS Powerpoint is for the color filling of the outline, lame monotype colors of MS Paint is a no-no to me, so I use the color blend effect that MS Powerpoint uses on things like these. Once you're satisfied, save your work again and transfer the finished colored outline to MS Paint.

MS Paint is the final step towards finishing the whole thing. I use it for intricate detailing. The runes that you see on my design on the link above were made using the lines and dots of MS Paint. After that, you just have to save your work and just fix everything at photo editor.

The flaw that I see in this method is:

1. It consumes too much time.
2. When you do the MS Paint part, you shouldn't stop, because the next time you open that file up, your going to see that it got blurred.
3. Same problem as with #2, the image gets blurred after saving.

Anyways, I know that this is tasky and most of you won't use this since you probably have photoshops there at your comp, but I'm just sharing what I have discovered so please feel free to try it and tell me what you think. Thanks... XD

The New WANTED Post/Notice...

Hello, if any of you readers notice, I have a new WANTED post/notice on my blog. If you're wondering why, the answer is just simple: I need them! I'm currently working on another novel (I'll keep it confidential this time, cause I just can't seem to finish any so far), and I need the people placed on that WANTED list. That's that so far, whatever new changes or additions will not be explained anymore. Anyways, if you know any suitable people for those positions, please let them know of this. One more thing, this is not for professional purposes, I'm just merely doing this for the fun of it, so I'm not really going to pay big money or make desperate measures just to get those people. All I need are just people who love doing what they do and want to make use of their talents for that. I hope that you'll all help, thanks...

Doubting Farewell...

The 3rd poem for this month of December 2009 (I imposed a strict rule to myself to write at least 3 poems per month), as well as my 24th poem, Doubting Farewell (click here). Basically, this poem is written because of my doubts whether to say goodbye to a certain person or not, for my mind and my emotions have been at war for quite a while, and just as what most writers do in times like this, I wrote this poem to express myself.

Anyways, enough about me, gotta place preview:

For ‘tis another day and another poem,
I stand here looking a way for a warm home.
I used to think things could be both sided,
But now it seems that a choice must be decided.

So that's the preview, please check the rest out at my DA page. Thanks...

The Flames of Conflict...

Today is another day for a good poem. That's why the 23rd poem is born, The Flames of Conflict (click here). Basically, it's a poem that I made to address to my foes, includes the hidden foes, what I think about this flame of conflict.

Anyhow, here is the preview of it:

'Tis the tree of poison that buds,
That brings downfall with thuds.
Misunderstanding is the root,
And greed for one's self that loots.

So that's it, please check it out in my DA, and I hope that those people will understand the poem's meaning. Thanks... XD

Blade of the Wind

1st poem for the month for December, 22nd poem, Blade of the Wind (click here). It's basically a poem that I made because of an assignment in English to make an optic poem (a poem that makes a figure using the words). The stanzas were shortened from 4 lines to 2 lines only.

Either way, I will place the preview:

Cold, ever shifting, and unpredictable,
That is the wind and my will capable.

That's it, please check the rest out at my DA (note: I can't place the figure that is made there, so just enjoy the meaning of it na lang). Thanks... XD

Field Trip...

Today is the field trip day for 3rd year high school students batch 2009-2010. We went to Pampanga (2 hours travel, the hell!), and I had to release some nasty things from my mouth while going there (barf/vomit!!). Anyhow, we went to Clark's Nayong Flipino and just saw a lot of Aeta people, and there was a slope that I loved taking a picture of (I'm not the type to photograph people, more on sceneries ako and unique artifacts). The 2nd destination was Zoocobia, but at that time, my stomach was so empty that I had to conserve energy. So I just joined my adviser, Sir Datz, rest under a tree while performing my ever favorite all time magic performances.

The 3rd destination was the Paradise Ranch, we had mountain hiking and reached the summit with sweat all over our bodies. But despite that, it was a fun experience.

The 4th place was so degrading of the whole trip. A small museum full of paintings and other stuff only, but there was one painting there that really caught everyone's attention. An oil painting with the theme "Ocean":
Anyways, even if it was a tiring event, it was a fun trip while it lasted. Hehehe, hindi ko lalagay dito yung nangyari sa Ersao...

Pocket Watch!!

I ordered a FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) silver pocket watch a few days ago, and I got it today. It's Edward Elric's silver watch (yup, with the "Don't Forget 3 Oct, 11!!" embossing pa yun), it's cool and I bought it for a cheap price of 450 pesos (compared to 600 pesos sa Comic Alley, it's cheaper by a 150).

Time...

Just got bored so I wrote my 21st poem today, Time (click here). To be honest, I'm somewhat troubled by this poem's quality of words, I don't think that they are good enough, but I guess other people might have their own opinions. So I'll place it for the public and I hope that you like it.

"Being hated by one doesn't mean your despised by the majority."

The preview:

Sounds of tick tock tick tock,
Time that walks with the hands of clock.
Revolving of the gears hast made me think,
Of the wonders thou hast made all link.

So there you have it, please check the rest out at my DA, if you think that I'm wrong with my opinions towards this poem, I'll be happy to read/hear your comment/s. Thanks... XD

Does Thou Think of Me...

After a week of assignment bombardments, I finally had the time to finish my 20th poem, Does Thou Think of Me (click here). Basically, it's a poem I made because of my hint of doubt towards the instability of my relationship with someone.

Anyways, enough jibber-jabber, here's the preview:

Lotus that blooms twice in row,
Sweeping winds come to and fro,
Verdant grass that cover thy feet,
A sight that's worth ready to greet.

So that's it, please check out the rest at my DA, thanks... XD

15th year...

Today is my bday yeah! Hehehe... Nothing really special today except for the wonderful greetings of the people that I have met throughout my 15 years in life. I would like to thank everyone, including my enemies, for teaching me many of life's lessons.

"Live one chapter at a time and write your destiny in this world as pen writes on paper."

Once again, thank you everyone. I wouldn't be who I am today without help from you all. Stay cool dudes! XD

11/17/2009

Mistakes of Thee...

Made a new poem today, the 19th poem, Mistakes of Thee (click here). It's basically a poem that tells the deficiencies of us humans, and like the other poems, it has symbolism infused with it. But don't worry, it's very easy to understand, you just got to remove your biases towards judging when you look at yourself within. I hope that this poem helps in making everyone a better person.

Anyways, the preview:

Cold, howling winds blow thy feet,
Yet thou hast swiften thy pace.
Never more shall I see thou greet,
Due to selfish run in the race.

There you have it, please check the rest out at my DA. Have a nice day/night everyone! XD

Tech Quiz Bee 2009

After the Tech Quiz Bee 2009 held last Saturday, it took me quite a delay to post here the results. (since the winners were announced on the same day as the contest)

Anyways, here are the winners: 1st place goes to Michael Gao of 3-3, 2nd goes to Shermaine Ann Chen of 3-5 and the 3rd was Ervin Chester ___ (dunno his surname and what class does he belong).

I would like to congratulate them for their win as well as I want to congratulate the other people who didn't win but still was able to join the contest. 'Til the next contest again! XD

The Revival...

Another poem for this month of November, this is my 18th poem, The Revival (click here). So basically, I could say that this poem isn't like the previous ones, since it has a more different theme. Anyways, I don't really have much more to comment about this.

The preview of it:

Death that was the beginning of birth,
Into another world untold.
Leaving the caring ones with hurt,
For the funeral left was cold.

So please check it out and comment, thanks... *yawn* (so sleepy...)

Confirmed Tech Contest...

It is finally confirmed, I am one of the finalists for the tech quiz bee to be held on Nov. 14, 2009, 8:00 AM at the computer room. Other 3-1 contestants aside from me are Mary Grace Khu and Bianca Lorraine Sing. As I've heard from the other friends of mine, Shermaine Chen from 3-5 and Michael Gao from 3-3 will also be participating on this contest. Anyways, like what I always say:

"I don't just join contests, I intend to win them!"

That's my motto for joining contests such as these, either way, please wish me the best of luck. Thanks...

11/08/2009

The Kiss of Death...

Made the 17th poem today, title is The Kiss of Death (click here). It's a poem about Death and I personally wanted to personify Death when I had the chance, so I made it under the dark night of Nov. 8, 2009 (which is, do'h, today).

Anyways, enough talk, I'll place the preview here:

Past that started with regrets,
Wishing the world a place to rest,
Whilst ignoring the forgotten debts.

So there you have it, please check out the rest at my DA, hope you enjoy this poem. Thanks...

Wanted: Publishers

Yoh dudes, I need some help regarding some matters. I need a willing person to publish something (many papers will be printed). So if you or if you know someone who could help me with this problem, please tell me. I will gladly negotiate with that person regarding the terms and conditions that he/she would like to implement on the printing of the things. Please help, if you do, I'll definitely give credit to you as the publisher of the work. Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. XD

Another Contest... A Technological One

Well, I didn't expect that I would be included in the computer quiz bee, but guess I did. Actually, I had no idea that I was included in the finalist list, well not until a friend of mine told me that I was included. I still have to confirm it though, I bet I'll know the answer on Monday, since we didn't have tech schedule today. Oh well, if ever I'm included, please wish me luck! Thanks... XD

I Beseech Thee...

This is my 16th poem, I Beseech Thee (click here). It's a poem that I've written for someone that I care the most. I was thinking of a good poem to write, and I noticed that I was quite lacking in poems with the dedicated to category, so I wrote this poem. I was inspired to write this because of a special incident yesterday, Nov. 5, 2009.

Anyhow, as usual, gotta place the preview here:

Cherry blossoms fill the sky,
As I walked beside the path of thou;
Asking myself the lonely why,
Of barriers that divide thee and I.

So there you have it, please check it out if you want to, thanks... XD

10/31/2009

The Blood Writer...

I've made another work of art, it's my 2nd short story, The Blood Writer (click here, not!). Sorry guys but I'm not placing any short stories of mine at DA, so if you want to read them, you have to tell me. I do have the printed copy of this one.

One thing I can guarantee you is that, it's better than the last short story I've made. If you like action stories with a little comedy and a little romance to boot it up, then I guess this one suits you (although my calculations read 90% of action, 7% comedy, and 3% of romance.) Anyhow, I might change my mind if ever I get the mood to post these works on DA. Just wait for it, thanks... XD

10/28/2009

Decaying World...

Yup, after making the 14th poem yesterday and seeing Eugene make a poem, I'm fired up to make a new one. Today's the day I made my 15th poem, Decaying World (click here). It's a brother of the other 2 poems: The Inevitable End and Dark Morning.

Anyways, the preview:

World, Arcana's twenty-first,
The place of all existence,
Boundless life ne'er had to thirst,
For thou has eased the tense.

There you have it, please check it out and comment. Thanks super... XD

10/27/2009

Love's Curse...

Now, now settle down. I didn't make 2 poems within this day (although it's possible). This work is my friend's, Eugene Lester Lin's. The title of it is Love's Curse (click here). Yup his work is at my DA page. He has given me permission to post it there along side the other works of mine.

Like all of the poems, I'll give you a preview of it as well:

I noticed that there was a knife,
On my open, defenseless back.
I once had a happy life,
But now filled with evil black.

If you want to know more, please ask Eugene personally. You can place your comments here if you like and I'll just tell him about them. Please comment in a nice way, I won't tolerate serpent's tongues in criticising this piece of art. It's also his first poem (I think), so please try to understand him. Thanks...

Solitude...

Another poem born out of the ever-shifting void, this poem serves as my 14th poem. The title is Solitude (click here). Anyways, this time, I'll leave you guys to decipher the meaning of this poem. Don't worry, it's pretty easy to understand and I think some can relate to it.

Anyways, here's the preview:

Pondering as I walk,
Alone in this road of none;
With no one to talk,
To far places I have gone.

There ya have it please enjoy it yeah. No further comments... Hehehe

Writer's Disease...

I've been aspiring to finish my novels/novelettes, but it always seem that I stop at the middle (probably after writing a few chapters). Oh well, today, I finally reorganized my idea for the "Elemental Trilogy" (it's one of my past ideas for 3 novels), mobility of characters was fixed, more adventures and more stories. Plot twists are also added, includes new characters, and new details for each character.

Now that I reorganized that idea, I have to change approximately 70% of the whole initial plan (which had been always inside my head). The challenge now is to write it, but that's another one of my deficiencies. I'm still writing one untitled (as of now) novelette, and now I'm placing another one into my work list. Makes things pile up, hehehe... That's my writer's disease.

10/15/2009

Dark Morning...

Yup another poem made, it's my 13th poem as of now. The title of it is Dark Morning (click here), there's a lot of symbolism and deep meanings that I've infused there. But there is one poem that is somewhat relevant to this one, my 9th poem, The Inevitable End.

Anyways, enough talk, it's preview time:

As I open my eyes
To see thy light,
All I see is a world of lies
Accompanied by death and blight.

Please check it out and comment. Anyways, about the short story that I made, I'm still deciding, so just keep waiting for it. Thanks...

10/10/2009

1st Ever Short Story...

Yup, just as the title tells ya, I've successfully written my 1st ever short story. It was actually an assignment to be due on Nov. 4, 2009, but since I got bored, I wrote the story ahead of time.

This short story's title is "The Brothers of The Twin Swords". (normally there would be a "click here" button here, but I didn't place it in my DA. I'm still deciding whether or not should I place it there.) If you guys want to read it though, I do have a printed copy of it. So just pm me if you want to see it. (I doubt anyone would pm me for just a story though, cruel world...)

Since this work isn't going to make it's appearance on DA, there's no preview here. (Hehehe... sorry guys, that's my rule to myself) Anyways, I might post this on DA after I make up my mind. Just wait for a blog entry here that shouts: "The short story has been posted!!!" (OK, that might have been dumb, oh well...) Thanks for your support everybody! XD

1st Ever Essay...

Never thought I'd be writing an essay today, but I guess I did make one. Basically the reason why I made one is, well, cause of a friend of mine. She needed an essay for the WG, and since I didn't have anything else to do tonight, I wrote one.

The title of this essay is The Evolution of Technology: The Downfall of Man. I added it to my DA, check it out (click here). I hope you guys enjoy it! Here's the preview: (I'll place the last paragraph here, as it is my most favorite and most crucial part of the essay.)

Technology is like a fire, wild and untamed. If we let this fire burn our sanity, then we would be allowing it to corrupt our souls, to feed on our flesh, and to destroy the great nations our ancestors have built. We cannot neglect the efforts of our forefathers. We should use their ideas for the good of man, not the destruction of nature and the Earth Mother! I hope that everyone would at least start to manipulate this fire, and use it to build a better civilization for us all. I will soon be one of the people who would work to make this world a better place, and I hope that I will have companions when that time comes…

There you have it, please check the rest out at my DA. Please comment on it! Thanks...

Quitting the Writer's Guild

As of today, consider me as an ex-member of the Writer's Guild (WG). I'm quitting that organization for good. Reason? Simple. It's because of "internal conflicts".

I had an argument with an acquiantance of mine yesterday, and I was quite convinced that I was not welcome in this guild of which I have mentioned above. After all, what's the point of staying in a place where the majority hates you? But to those who believed in me there at WG, I am greatly thankful of your kind thoughts towards me. I hope that I get to work with you people again!

And the second reason: NEWS ARTICLES! They drive me nuts, I'm a poet for pete's sake! I don't just go around chasing scoops about some events that happen in CKSC. It just isn't my style. It is in my opinion that news articles are a big waste of my time as well as a big waste of my talent. Though to those news article lovers out there, I mean no offense to the article nor the guild. I just dislike that kind of aspect in writing.

Anyways, I still wish the guild the best of luck. After all, a great organization like it shouldn't go down without a single sign of great accomplishment (though they already had a lot of accomplishments). Guess I'll just have to continue my studies on hieroglyphs and continue my work on the novelette. So long, WG!

The Will of Existence

Yes, I know, you all might think that I've made another poem. Well you're all half damn right if you thinked like that. This poem, The Will of Existence (click here), is my first ever poem made, not The Death of the Dearest One. I've always been aware of that, it just happened that I lost the poem 2 years ago, and good thing that I found it about yesterday. I only found the draft though (in yellow paper), I couldn't find the printed one. Oh well, at least I found something rather than nothing.

Anyways, this poem is actually 2 poems, the older one is the original 2007 version, while the revised 2009 version is the 12th poem that I made as of now.

This poem served as my stepping stone to poetry and without it, I couldn't possibly discover my talent for poetry. Anyways enough talk cause I bet your itching to see the preview of this old friend of mine:

A lifetime beneath the walls,
Decisions limited within the halls.
Trapped within a frozen chamber,
Which none could ever hinder.

Please check it out and tell me what you think about it, but don't pm me if all your going to do is throw useless insults. Thanks...

Farewell, My Nightingale...

Made another poem here today, the title is Farewell, My Nightingale (click here). I made that poem for Sharmayne's departure. Yeah, guess it's just another one of those remembrance poems that I like to make, after all, I like giving simple yet memorable gifts (such as poems and letters).

I'm really gonna miss her, she is really a great friend as well as a great artist. Hope that we'll get to meet again someday. Anyways, here's the usual sneak peak of my poem, enjoy:

Farewell, oh farewell, my nightingale.
Never again shall I see thou wings,
Memories also, shall be told like tales.

Lastly, I wish her the best of luck, I hope that her talents and skills would be put into better use there at Singapore. Goodbye my friend, till we meet again.

9/19/2009

Lose and Win

Oh well, today's the contest and guess I lost. I lost the 15 minute short story writing contest as well as today's oration contest. But don't worry, I'm not sad nor disappointed, cause I know that I did my best out there and for me, that is enough even if I go home without a medal.

I would like to congratulate the winners of the contest, you guys were the best! After all, like what I say: "There's no shame in losing to a master, the only shame is losing to yourself..." I look forward to be competing another contest soon, and I'm definitely gonna win next time!

9/18/2009

Goodbye Part 2...

Great, after Matthew's departure a few months ago, another great person from 3-1 shall also be leaving us for better opporutinities abroad. Yup, CKSC won't be winning too many future art contests, cause Sharmayne Desiree Ng is leaving for Singapore on Oct. 7, 2009.

Yeah, we all knew that from the beginning, since she applied for that Singapore scholarship thingy, and she was really hoping that she'll pass the interview. Anyways, I do have to admit that I don't want her gone cause she's a great friend and all, but who am I to stop her from achieving that dream? It's better to just be happy for her.

Hey 3-1 pals, if any of you are reading this right now with wet and teary eyes, stop crying! We may be sad because a good friend of ours is leaving, but we must be happy, because we know that she is going to a much better place now. And don't worry, if ever I get rich in the future, I'll treat ya all to visit our pals across the world (sana nga...). Oh well, 22 na lang tayo, so let's make the best out of our remaining time together. And to Sharmayne: Just stay cool and never lose your touch, I'll be rooting for ya, wish you the best of luck!

9/17/2009

One of the Eight...

Yup, it's confirmed. I am one of the eight (if I'm not mistaken) finalists for the oratorical speech contest. The contest is this Saturday (Sept. 19), 7:30 AM, at the Little Theater. I'm supposed to appear in business attire. Oh well, it's a good thing that I work as a teacher during summer, or else I wouldn't have a long sleeved shirt, slacks and necktie.

I hope that I would be the chosen one to represent the school for the interschool competitions, cause I want to show everyone that a poet like me can also be a great orator. Anyhow, wish me luck! XD

9/16/2009

Oratorical Speech Contest...

Cool that I've entered another contest, I'm really becoming active this year, hehehe, anyways let's cut to the chase. I was one of the selected participants to compete for the oratorical speaking elimination round today, the piece that we(the participants) were supposed to memorize is a small portion of Catherine Tan's, she's the WG's EIC, essay. I'll go on ahead and place the piece here(I hope Catherine wouldn't mind):

"I say it is not! Why? Because education should not only shape up our brains! It should go beyond that by shaping up the total formation of a human being. It should be the reservoir from where we could derive not only academic excellence but also personal excellence! In that sense, education becomes life-changing. And it is in those life-changing moments that we could gather strength to move forward... I want all ears lent, and all eyes open. We, as modern people, could not reverse a lot of things. We cannot launch a troop to vanquish poverty. We cannot develop a vaccine to stop unemployment. We cannot invent a shield for our ozone layer. And we cannot devise a machine that would manufacture world peace. But we, however, can paint a picture of a brighter tomorrow. With education as the tool, and vision as the guide, changing the world would be our greatest masterpiece."

There's not much competition there, since most of the people there didn't took it seriously. The judges said that they'll be picking 7 of us to rise to the next level of the competition, but in the end, only 1 of us shall prevail. And the one that will prevail shall also be the one who will uphold the school's name by winning the competition against the other schools.

The results are going to be announced tomorrow, but my teacher told me that I was one of the chosen 7, in an implied way though. I can't stop thinking about it, but like what I always say: "I don't just join contests, I intend to win them!" (Confidence is what keeps me psyched up) Stay cool everybody! XD

Darkness

Hey, I got another new poem that I made, it's my 10th poem.(I don't want to consider Inspiracion as my 10th anymore) It's title is Darkness, please check it out on my DA (click here).
Here's a sample of my 1st stanza if you want to know:

‘Twas a silent night,
Crows that fly pitch black,
Darkness that knows no light,
Again shall I go back?

Once again, I invite you to check out my other poems on DA, feel free to comment, just do it in a nice way please. Thanks... XD

15 Minute Short Story Writing Contest

Today's the contest day for the 15 minute short story writing competition, it's pretty much challenging for me, since it'll be my first time to write a short story. I kept on yelling, "I'll win the short story writing contest", for the past few days. After all, confidence is the best way to get you pumped up before a contest.

The time that was meant for the contest was 2 hours, but we all found out that it only took about 30 minutes or so, so I got the rest of the time off. I'm supposed to go back there at 10am cause I volunteered myself to be marshall for the next contest for that day, photo-op.

Well, I'm sorta lazy writing here about what I wrote on the short story competition. (no one finished the writing cause the all needed more time, but I bet that the teachers did that on purpose to see what the unfinished work looked like) Oh well, there's still no results yet, but I'm sure that I'm one of the top, hehehe... XD

Today's 9-9-09, just got nothing to post... hehehe...

Happy Birthday Lynnette!

Today is quite an exciting day, cause it's the b-day of a friend of mine, Lynnette Chung. We (more likely my classmates) arranged a surprise party at Shakey's, and it worked out.

We (everyone who went there) all planned that we will meet in front of the school at 11am, and I was the earliest to go there, I was surprised cause we all agreed to be there at 11 not go there when it's already 11. Anyways, despite the delay, we still managed to stall Lyn for a few precious minutes and we made everything ready. Yeah, the party looks pretty damn plain and all but you know what they say: "It's not the looks that matter, it's the thought that counts."

When she came, we greeted her entrance w/ a happy b-day song, which made her cry. (awww natouch daw sya, hehehe...) Someone bought 2 cakes earlier and we ate it after eating lunch (mojos, chicken, spaghetti, pizza, etc.), after that, it was time for presents.

After all the trouble we did at the restaurant, we finally left and some of us went to MGA's house to do whatever we can find interesting that afternoon. We played Pusoy Dos and Heart Attack (cards were the courtesy of yours truly), and after that we played pure dare, and when we got tired of it, we made it into pure truth. We discovered a lot about each other (maybe I was the only one who got to know a lot about them since I didn't had a lot of bonding time w/ them in the past) thanks to that pure truth thingy.

It was a tiring afternoon, but we all enjoyed it, and that's what mattered. Guys, let's make another surprise party next time, hehehe... XD

Robotics Symposium...

Today was the day of CKSC's first ever seminar about robotics, cool that our class, 3-1, was one of the chosen sections to go and watch it. The guest that spoke for that day was Dr. Elmer Dadios, a professor in DLSU as well as a great engineer that had won a lot of contests in the field of robotics. Aside from the usual scolding and reprimanding of the assistant supervisor, everything was fine, Dr. Dadios explained those cool facts to us and he also advertised DLSU's College of Engineering, etc.

The thing that really interested us was one of his projects, the humanoid robot. Basically it's a robot that could stand on 2 feet, which is a very hard thing for engineers to do since balancing the entire robot w/ 2 feet only is quite hard. So he started out w/ a robot w/ 6 feet, then 4, and finally 2. The robot that they created was called the Quatrobot (if I remembered it correctly), it can detect obstacles, walk (it looks like moonwalking), kick and dance (everybody loved the robot dance).

Cool thing indeed, thanks to Dr. Dadios, we all learned something today... hehehe...

Sudoku Competition 2009

Today was CKSC's Sudoku Contest 2009, and it was nice that I was one of the contestants of it. Each class had 3 representatives and, well, I was one of the representatives of our class, 3-1. The other 2 were Lynnette Chung and Regine Li. We were hoping and expecting that Regine would win this year's contest again, but she didn't, too bad...

Anyways, the contest had 3 rounds, the easy, average and difficult, the 1st round is the easy round and the first 30 people to submit their papers with the correct answers shall go to the next round. I got lucky and passed the easy round... Just couldn't say the same for Lynnette.

The 2nd round is the average round, this time, they're accepting the 1st 15 people, I passed my paper early but I guess my answers were wrong so I didn't get to go into the final round... hehehe...

The last round, well, is the difficult round, I wasn't there to see it, since the people eliminated should go back to classes, but Regine was there cause she got through the 2nd round. But in the end, I heard that the 1st place went to a 4th year student, the 2nd place went to a 1st yr freshman, and the 3rd placer is a friend of mine, Ricsson Ngo...

Anyways, despite the fact that I got eliminated at the 2nd round, it was fun and challenging, hope for another good match next year... hehehe...

Tagalog Poem... Nosebleed...

Today is the day when I made my very 1st tagalog poem (it also holds the title of 10th poem), it was pretty damn hard and I had to use an english-tagalog dictionary, but I still finished it and that's what matters.

This poem's title is Inspiracion, I loved the Spanish spelling of it rather than the lame old filipino style of it, anyways, I posted it on my DA. (click here)

Here's a sample of the 1st stanza if your curious:

Ika’y liwanag sa madilim na kweba,
Pag-asa na hindi kailang mawawala;
Mahalagang bagay na lagi’y isipan,
Isang gintong yamang aking iningatan.

Please check it out and leave a comment (again, please do it in a nice way cause I really get pissed off if you dare insult my works, especially if your insult is a bad one...), thanks... XD

Just another one of those friends...

I told myself not to be concerned but I guess I can't just stay put and shut my mouth up...

Today's a lost friend that I grieved dearly,
His mind was wandering while reason was me,
Never listened to one bit I said,
Exchanged a friend for a false belief.

I want to stop having the thought of helping my friend... but I guess I can't just stop if my friend's life is at stake... hehehe... (Great... no one understands the hell am I saying...)

The Inevitable End...

Please check out my new poem on my DA page (click here), the title is The Inevitable End. It's my 9th poem and I hope that you can give me your comments or suggestions (just tell it in a nice way please... XD)

I think I'll place my 1st four lines here: (if you need sample)

The days pass such as people do,
Limitless time that comes and goes;
Unbreakable destiny that twists too,
Foretells passing friends and coming foes.

By the way, my 8 previous poems are also there on my DA page, so please feel free to check them out, thanks...

Nothing...

It's been too long since I talked to you, everything that I thought of was nothing.
Now, I'm left with nothing more to give, nothing more to take.
Just kill me right now and end this misery, cause I'm just a mere nothing.
I don't even exist in this world, sake of living only as my purpose...

That has always been my nature, NOTHING...

Prologue...

It was just like yesterday, the wound is still fresh with red blood, turned into a scar that marked his pain...

That's the 1st line of my new novel's (A Prodigy's Life) prologue, I won't be placing the other parts here though (do'h, it's a 1st draft) and there's a lot of editing that I still have to do, but I have complete faith that this will be a successful masterpiece after I make it even better. So far, it's coming along quite well and I hope it stays that way.

Wala akong magawa kaya ito na lang nipost ko, hehehe...

Another Idea, Another Story, Another Book...

Yup, got myself another new and fresh idea of a story. The working title (to those who don't know what it means, it means temporary title) is A Prodigy's Life. The story mainly revolves around a 16 year old boy who had become CEO of his parent's company and he has to study as well as work at the same time, but hey, why am I telling you guys this? I'll just write it and leave the reading to you all, hehehe. Wish me luck in my new work!

Lazy Writer...

It's just so weird that I always want to write something that would become a future bestseller, but I just lack the skills and inspiration to write it. I already have tons of ideas as well as a lot of stories that I want to write down but I'm just too lazy to write, and even if I decided to write one, I don't think that I'll have the time to do it. (ok... maybe I do have the time, I'm just lazy)

They say that I should start by writing short stories but my problem with writing a short story is... whenever I think of a story, I have a tendency to prolong it and make it a long story and eventually it would become as long as a novel. I got friends that already have written their compositions and I envy them, but guess I gotta learn how to overcome this laziness or I won't be able to write or do anything at all... Wish me luck! Hehehe...

Reconcilation...

Finally, after what seems to be a long long long time, I finally settled my problem with the vice head assistant, Vicente Tangcueco III, of the abacus class that I work with. It was like this year's April when we had our argument about our students. (I don't want to mention the whole story, readers probably wouldn't understand unless I tell it to them personally, for those who know the story though, good for you... hehehe)

I decided to fix this problem once and for all because it's not nice having an unsettled misunderstanding, so I chatted with him at YM and well we finally understood what happened 5 months ago. So now, we're good buddies again and I hope that we won't have anymore quarrels in the future, but hey, who knows maybe there might be another bigger misunderstanding next time but that's what makes friends better friends or worse enemies... hehehe.

Pocket Books...

I never expected that I'd be buying pocketbooks today, since I never liked to read pocketbooks. (exception to this was Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events... too bad I never finished reading the whole book collection) But anyways, today, I went to SM San Lazaro to celebrate my mom's birthday and I happened to passed by a bookstore and well I thought I check out the books there. I usually tend to get bored by just looking at the pocketbooks but these books caught my attention so I had to buy them:

1. Warlock by Wilbur Smith

2. Judgement Day by Jane Jensen

3. Second Genesis by Jeffrey Anderson

I also bought a book that I want to give as a gift to one of my teachers: A Perfect Evil by Alex Kava

I also bought a book that will help me in my writing: 7th Edition Prentice-Hall Handbook For Writers

Oh well, I may have bought them but will I read them? (Pangdisplay lang yan sa bookshelf ko... hehehe)

Idiotic Holdapper...

Yesterday (which was July 31), the weirdest as well as the most hilarious things happened to me (so far). When I was going back to my house, I went to Bambang to do my usual routine, escorting some of my teachers to the LRT there, and I had to go back since I already passed my house. I was already near Sakya when suddenly this anonymous person gave me a slap on the arm and he asked me, in chinese: "How's your mom, is she at your house?" and my first reaction was "Do I know this person?" but still his question was still answerable so I answered "Yup (in the sense like I was doubting my answer)."

His second question was, for me, the stupidest question any holdapper or any criminal would ask: "Where do you live?" The moment he said those words, my mind was thinking: Am I that dumb to answer that question to a stranger that already asked how my mom is doing and not know where is my house? So I immediately said to him: "See ya (in a way like I'm saying: See ya loser)." And I walked faster to get away before he could ask or say anything stupid that may annoy me even more. Fortunately, my escape was successful and nothing happened to me, my things were still complete also.

When I arrived home, I was like about to laugh so hard at this stupid holdapper, I mean he's already like 30-40 years old and he asks me those kinds of things that a normal person would know that he doesn't have any good intentions. But still, I better be cautious next time, maybe hiding a swiss knife under my socks would do... hehehe... just kidding.

Goodbye...

The days really past so fast, it was like yesterday when we first met and now, it seems that we're going our seperate paths. Yup CKSC's very own famous Matthew S. Ng is leaving for good. He's going to Canada and will be studying there. When will he come back? That's a question that not even he could answer. Oh well, guess that's life, you cross paths with someone and then go your seperate ways after some time.

But seriously, I will definitely miss this person. He has been, still is and will be one of my greatest companions, I hope that he finds a much greener pasture to graze on (figuratively) when he goes to Canada. I wish him the best of luck...

Goodbye... Sayonara... Bon Voyage... Zai Jian... Adios... Farewell...

Teacher... Student... I'm the same...

I have been talking to some teachers for a while and I've realized something: a lot of them became teachers because of some unexpected reasons. It's so nice to know that even if they didn't choose teaching to be their primary goal before, they are now trying their best to do what they can to do their jobs professionally as well as enjoying it at the same time.

I know what their profession is by heart, since I'm also a teacher myself (I started my professional teaching career at the age of 11), and I can only see a few students who appreciate their (as well as my) hard work. Even if I'm also a student myself as of now, I somewhat feel guilty that I'm hearing all the backstabbing of some students to the teachers. It's very painful to hear insults from your students especially if you really did do your best at educating them.

I think that I'm lucky to be able to understand teaching as well as what being a teacher is like at an early age, it made me think: "If I am like the other insensitive people, then I do not deserve to be called a teacher nor called a student..."

Furious...

Damn it!!! It's been almost a week since I started making the project for that damn teacher, and she still thinks that it isn't good enough. Base on what I know about these projects (they're for chinese...) they aren't compulsory nor are we required to make them, unless your teacher is a pretty conceited primadona. Good thing that I'm still able to control my temper around her, since I'm pretty much of an impatient person.

Well, as long as I'm going to school to continue to further improve myself, I'll try as much as possible to endure those damn projects that we need to do for almost every quarter. After all, seeing all my friends and other inspirational teachers is a good enough reason for me to continue enduring all those useless, not worth my time projects.

I'm still furious until now... tae naman kasi eh, walang kwentang teacher... walang kwentang project...

Another Typical Saturday...

It's just another typical Saturday, waking up at 7am to prepare myself to go to Chiang Kai Shek College, my school, to attend the Writer's Guild. I didn't expect anything interesting for today, since we're going to write the most boring (yawn...) type of article, which is news articles.

I really hate (not hate but maybe dislike) writing something about what's going on and what are the new things... blah blah blah... and it just doesn't seem to arouse any interest within me, since I'm more of a literary writer. Anyways, but still I wrote something and after that, I got to meet some new members there (mostly the seasoned ones) that only appeared after what it seems to be a long long long time since we've started...

I guess the only untypical thing that happened today was my date (should I even consider using that word?) with the moderator of the guild, I invited her to eat lunch with me (don't get any weird ideas, I'm a gentleman... a boring one though). Anyways, I treated her to mcdo and it was like maybe my first time to ever treat someone to eat lunch with me. I got nothing to worry about nor did my wallet had anything to fear cause I know that she won't be eating too much, since women are always weight conscious, hehehe no offense... peace. When I ordered our food, the bill was cheaper than what I'd expected, only 100 pesos hehehe...

Even with that very unexpected lunch, I still think that its still another typical saturday. Full of boredom and yawning... (bangag ako...)
